Jim Corbett Safari Weather Guide

Understanding the weather in Jim Corbett National Park is essential to plan your safari for the best wildlife experience. Different seasons offer different advantages, from tiger sightings to comfortable travel conditions. Here is a detailed guide to help you choose the perfect time for your adventure.

Winter (October – February)

Temperatures range from 5°C to 30°C, with nights dropping to 4–5°C. Winter is considered the best season for wildlife spotting, especially for tiger and elephant sightings, as animals are more active in cooler weather.

Summer (March – June)

Temperatures vary from 20°C to 40°C, and can reach 42°C in May. Summer safaris are ideal near water bodies, where animals gather to cool off. Carry water and sun protection during this season.

Monsoon (July – September)

Heavy rains make the forest trails slippery and risky, and flood-prone areas are common. Most safari zones remain closed during this period. Monsoon is not recommended for safaris.

Autumn (October – November)

Autumn offers clear skies, cool temperatures, and pleasant conditions, making it perfect for safaris and photography. Wildlife is active, and the forest scenery is especially beautiful.
